Dental veneers

What are dental veneers?

SMILE IS YOUR LIFESTYLE

Dental veneers, also called veneers, represent the optimal prosthetic solution, which restores the teeth from an aesthetic and functional point of view and, being thin plates, cover only the front part of the tooth. It directly contributes to the restoration of the smile.
They are made of ceramic. It treats a number of aesthetic problems (chilled, broken, cracked, discolored, uneven teeth) and at the same time restores the functional part of the tooth.
Some patients only need a single veneer, while others opt for aesthetics and fix between 6 and 8 veneers on the front teeth, the upper arch.

Stages of treatment with veneers

1

A panoramic radiograph and a computed tomography of the oral cavity are performed. This procedure allows the doctor to better understand the anatomical characteristics of the patient - the features of the teeth and jaws, in order to use this information in the manufacture of veneers.

2

Consultation with the prosthetist. The specialist analyzes the patient's situation and makes a treatment plan.

3

Intraoral scanning allows the capture and computer rendering of the digital impression of the teeth in 3D format. The dentist creates a digital copy of the patient's jaw, evaluates the anatomical features of the teeth and sends the result for processing.

4

Modern digital technology Digital Smile Design designs the patient's smile before veneer treatment begins. At this stage, the color and shape of the teeth are selected. After the approval of the digital model, a physical model will be created, which will be aesthetically tested in the patient's mouth. The model allows a visualization of the integration of the facets on the gums, teeth. Digital imaging and design help patients visualize their desired end result before the treatment itself begins, which increases the predictability of treatment.

5

Creation of temporary veneers - the dentist fixes on the patient's teeth an analogue of the permanent veneers made by a technician. Thanks to this stage, the patient sees in advance how the dental veneers will look and also what corrections are needed.

6

Creation of permanent veneers - the technician creates the veneers according to the selected outline, and the dentist fixes the veneers with an adhesive material that protects the tooth enamel.

In order to enjoy a flawless smile for many years in a row, it is recommended to practice proper oral hygiene. Be sure to use a soft-bristled toothbrush, floss, and an oral irrigator. This will not only extend the life of the veneers but also keep your teeth healthy.

Do not forget the regular visits to the dental office, carried out once every 6 months. Your gums and teeth will stay healthy, and your veneers will last longer.
